Laura has over twenty years of experience in a variety of settings including schools, health, and community agencies. Laura has a genuine passion in helping individuals identify their strengths, build skills, and find hope amid personal struggles. She supports children, youths, and adults with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, emotional dysregulation, school problems, life transitions, and interpersonal issues. 

Laura integrates a variety of evidence-base therapeutic approaches to create achievable goals and promote improved coping and positive change with her clients.  She has training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.  Laura has a non-judgmental, empathetic, and collaborative approach to therapy and works from a trauma-informed, client-centered, strengths-based, and anti-oppressive framework. 

Having completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier and obtained her Bachelor of Social Work Degree from McMaster University, Laura is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.  She is also a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
